Report: Koch Industries plans to stop business in Russia

MOSCOW, Apr 22 (PRIME) -- U.S. Koch Industries is working on a strategy to quit Russia amid the sanctions introduced in April, newspaper the Hill reported late on Thursday citing a corporate letter.

"President and CEO Dave Robertson sent a company-wide memo on Thursday telling employees it is developing an “exit plan” for Guardian Industries (Koch Industries' facility in Russia) after an attempt to completely shut down its factories led to threats against its employees from the government," the newspaper reported.

A spokesperson for the company said that the banking sanctions of the U.S. made it difficult for Koch Industries to pay salaries and buy materials. The company will do its best to prevent a 'state takeover' of the facility.
